This week’s episode is: The Promised Day.

Well, things are going forward. First we have a brief reunion between Ed and Winrey. Ed worries so much about her, but Winrey is equally worried about him^^; And I love how Winrey came home and went to her room only to find Ed already there^^; Interesting philosophy on wanting that Greed has by the way. I’m not sure that I agree that all wants and desires are equal . . .

Hoenheim already went off to Central. Al was on his way East. His spells where he isn’t in his armor are increasing in frequency. Of course that is when Gluttony and Pride attack . . .

Mustang meets up with Oliveira again. Hawkeye is reunited with two members of Mustang’s former group. Marco and Scar meet up with others ,chimeras and Yoki I think, and it seems Scar has been raising the Ishbalans.

It’s North (Briggs) against East in the East and the Fuhrer himself comes to oversee things. Fortunately, there are layers upon layers. They counted on the Fuhrer leaving in a hurry when he hears Mustang has arranged for the Ishbalans to attack Central while he is away. True or not, his train ends up being destroyed. Oliveira in Central almost rises to take charge of things, but Father is there . . .

Ed is looking more and more like Hoenheim by the way. I’m not sure he would appreciate the comparison, though^^;

Today’s episode is: The Evil Shadow Soldiers.

The chief engineer is rather depressed, which is quite understandable. He starts seeing a grownup version of his daughter and chases her. He knows it must be his daughter because this Mazone wears a bell his daughter had. Then other Mazone show up, but Miime shows they are just shadows, projections. The source is the horse head nebula which they are already heading towards. This, however, is just the opportunity the Mazone were waiting for. They start inserting agents, including the one the chief thinks is his daughter. As for what they are after, they are trying to determine the number of the crew. The chief engineer protects his Mazone daughter from Harlock, and she escapes. He goes after her. He is shown what Mazone babies look like. They come from plants, which makes sense considering the Mazone are plant-like themselves in many ways. This Mazone is not the chief engineer’s daughter. A mating between a human and Mazone is impossible. She was an impostor from the very beginning. The chief is rescue by the Arcadia. The Mazone tries to escape in a huge ship, but the Arcadia destroys it, the chief firing the final shot. Poor guy.
