Today’s episode is: The Sohma Curse.
Tohru is quite distressed that the Sohmas have turned into animals, though the mail man doesn’t seem to notice anything wrong. Shigure explains to Tohru how members of the Sohma family are cursed and become members of the Chinese zodiac when they are week or when they are hugged by members of the opposite sex. Unfortunately, they have no idea how long they will stay in animal form, and they are naked. Don’t worry, we don’t see much. When Kyo gets upset about their being a girl in the house, he breaks the coffee table and it hits Tohru’s head. Yuki proceeds to beat up Kyo for it. After this excitement, Tohru hurries to school in her dirty uniform, after being informed that Shigure will have to tell the head of the Sohma family, Akito, about Tohru knowing their secret. After cleaning her uniform (and having the members of the Prince Yuki fan club chased off by Hanajima), Yuki tells Tohru about a time when he was young. He and a bunch of girls were playing, and he accidentally got hugged and turned into the Rat. All of his playmates’ memories were erased, and he fears this will happen to Tohru as well. Tohru hopes this won’t happen, but if it does, she still wants to be friends with Yuki. When they get home, after Kyo tries and fails to apoligize to Tohru for what happened that morning (not his fault being interrupted by Shigure) Shigure tells everyone the good news that Tohru can stay there.
The next day, Tohru tackles the sea of decay. Yuki goes out shopping for his secret base during this time, and Shigure goes off with Kyo. Why? To get him enrolled and Yuki and Tohru’s school. On Akito’s orders, Kyo will live with them as well. It is hard to tell who is more upset at this news, Yuki or Kyo. The next day at school doesn’t go well for Kyo. He is swarmed by girls, and ends up jumping out of a second story window to escape.
