So I finally got around to reading the latest US released volume of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It starts where we left off, with Yuuko giving some answers about Fei Wong who has been trying to manipulate things the whole time with all four of our heroes. What is he after? The ruins in the country of Clow, and the Clow princess’s power. This is all to grant a wish that Yuuko says anyone would want but is impossible to grant. Fei Wong wants the memories from Sakura’s body of the various dimensions they go to since that is at least a part of Sakura’s power. Our heroes decide to continue on even though that is what Fei Wong wants since that is the only way to get what they want. After depositing the shielded feather in the reservoir, our heroes go on to the next world. There, they get involved in a dangerous game. It is a bit like chess, with one person sort of controlling the others. The prize is another one of Sakura’s feathers. And it seems like things will be coming to a head for Fai soon. King Ashua is awake.
way to keep your review spoiler-free. what was your opinion of the manga?
If you mean Tsubasa over all, I love it. The art work couldn’t be more gorgeous. My only complaint is the artwork is a bit busy compared to Card Captor Sakura. It took the anime and OVAs to get some things. Or maybe I just read too fast . . . Also, an interesting ploy that we don’t really find out what is really going on until the Tokyo arc, and that isn’t the last of the revelations either^^; More on that as the US volumes come out.
If you mean this particular volume, a nice ending to the Tokyo arc, and a nice beginning to the next arc. It is nice to see Sakura being so strong, and the rest of the team being dependent on this during the games. And CLAMP sure ended things on a tense note with King Ashura waking up.
